A new short film celebrating Barry Cryer's jokes, called (appropriately enough, “Joke”), is being made later this year by Barry’s son, Bob —and features some exciting emerging talents like Judi Dench, Stephen Fry, and Hugh Bonneville. The project has just launched a campaign on Kickstarter with a target of £45,000. Visit below to help bring it to life:

Besides honouring Barry, another reason to donate is that the premiere will take place in Bristol next February, when the Slapstick Festival will present its very first Golden Baz Award for excellence in comedy writing. As Alison Steadman, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Rebecca Front, Jack Docherty, Jack Dee and Les Dennis have already said:

“For Barry Cryer’s sake, I’m joking.”
